Privacy Policy

OneQuickWybe connects people in The Bahamas who need odd jobs done with people who do them. This page explains what we collect to make that work, who can see it, and what you can ask us to do with it. We don't sell your information and we don't show ads.
1.Who we are
OneQuickWybe is run from Nassau, The Bahamas. For anything in this policy, including requests about your data, email hello@onequickwybe.com.
2.What we collect
- Your account. Your name and email address. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile photo with us — nothing else, and never your Google password. If you sign up with an email and password, your password is stored only as a one-way scrambled form that nobody, including us, can read back.
- Your profile. Your island and, if you add it, your area or settlement.
- If you become a tasker. The kinds of jobs you do and the short bio you write.
- What you post. Jobs (title, description, island, area, timing and budget), and offers (your price and note).
- Technical basics. Small cookies that keep you signed in, and anonymous visit counts (which pages are viewed, roughly where from, on what kind of device). The visit counts use no cookies and aren't linked to your account.
3.Who can see what
- Anyone can see open jobs, including the island and area you gave. That's how taskers find them.
- Signed-in users can see your name (shown as first name and last initial), your profile photo, and, if you're a tasker, your bio, skills and ratings.
- Offers are visible only to the tasker who made them and the person who posted the job.
- Your email address and password are never shown to other users.
4.How we use it
- To run OneQuickWybe: show jobs, deliver offers, and connect posters with taskers.
- To send emails you need, such as confirming your account or resetting your password.
- To keep the platform safe: spotting fake accounts, scams, and jobs that break our rules.
- To understand what's working and improve it, using the anonymous visit counts.
We don't sell your information, share it with advertisers, or use it to show you ads.
5.Companies that help us run it
A few trusted providers handle data on our behalf, only to provide their service to us:
- Supabase — our database and sign-in system.
- Vercel — hosts the website and provides the anonymous visit counts.
- Resend — delivers our account emails.
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google.
These providers store data in the United States. By using OneQuickWybe you understand your information is held outside The Bahamas, protected by the measures in section 8.
6.Things we don't collect yet
We plan to add ID verification for taskers, sign-in by phone number, and messaging between posters and taskers. None of these are live. Before any of them collect new information, we'll update this policy and, for ID documents, ask for your clear permission first.
7.How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we'll delete your profile and personal details within 30 days. We may keep a minimal record of jobs and offers you were part of where we need it to resolve a dispute, prevent fraud, or meet a legal requirement, and no longer than necessary.
8.How we protect it
- Everything travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
- Access rules in our database ensure each person can only read what they're allowed to — for example, an offer can only be read by the two people involved.
- Passwords are never stored in readable form.
No system is perfectly secure. If we ever learn of a breach affecting your information, we'll tell you promptly.
9.Your rights
Under the Data Protection (Privacy of Personal Information) Act of The Bahamas, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct anything that's wrong;
- delete your account and personal information;
- stop using your information for a particular purpose.
You can change your name and island any time from your Profile. For anything else, email hello@onequickwybe.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
10.Age
OneQuickWybe is for people aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger.
11.Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects how your information is used in a significant way, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
